Ready-to-use descriptions
Copy, paste, edit at will — three lengths.
Tortuba is a dive logbook you’ll love to fill, with a playful design and an offline guide to identify 10,000 marine species.
Tortuba combines a scuba and snorkel logbook with a fish guide: log dives with all their parameters, then identify the species you met among 10,000 — by type, body shape, scientific or common name — even offline.
Tortuba is a logbook divers love to fill, thanks to its playful and simple design. More than a logbook, it helps snorkelers and scuba divers identify the marine species they encountered — 10,000 of them, searchable by type, body shape, scientific or common name, offline. Log duration, depth, air, site, buddies and conditions; have teammates sign your logbook; let a toothy William Shakespeare coach your dive stories; and give nicknames to the fish you keep meeting. First released in 2012, Tortuba is preparing a major refresh: new UI, cloud sync, and a few surprises.
About Tortuba
Tortuba is a logbook you will love to fill, with its playful and simple design.
More than a logbook, it helps you identify marine species and tell your stories of underwater encounters, whether you were snorkeling or scuba diving. You can even keep your paper logbook along with this one, and use Tortuba for the offline species database.
I want you to keep beautiful memories of those fascinating marine species, have fun collecting them, and be proud to share them. That is the best way to inspire people, bring the Ocean to them, and raise awareness about the marine species you care about.
You can make a difference with your dives. Don’t just keep your dive number growing; keep the number of people you inspired growing too.

- You came back with 10,000 photos and videos without knowing what to do with them
- You wish you didn’t have to carry 10 kg of books to identify fish
- You want to know where to spot a given fish
